One of our specialist areas of expertise is the environmental sector where we have significant experience in the investigation of contaminated land and groundwater quality using undisturbed soil sampling techniques and full containment methods of drilling, including:

Geothermal Installations

Geothermal energy is heat from the ground, generally once under the frost layer the ground remains at a consistent range of between 8 – 13° C  in temperature.

Geothermal energy is not only very efficient offering up to a 400% overall energy saving but it is also one of the most environmentally friendly heating systems as there are zero emissions.

Monitoring Wells

JS Remediation was established from the importance of groundwater to public and private water supplies.  We have developed specialised skills and equipment for the assessment and rehabilitation of groundwater wells.  We have the only camera of its type in the Ireland, with a maximum depth of 300m, the camera can tilt and rotate giving high quality footage to enable us to identify potential issues allowing promotion of most suitable options for well rehabilitation or maintenance.  We have significant experience in the development of soil & groundwater remediation strategies.   Our services include:

Decommissioning

All decommissioning operations are carried out in accordance with industry best practice as outlined in UK Environment Agency guidance “Good Practice for Decommissioning Redundant Boreholes and Wells” Oct 2012.  In each case the design of the well and the underlying geology are taken into consideration and the decommissioning of the well is adjusted accordingly.
